National Geographic Augmented Reality Experience
This project aimed at creating an augmented reality experience based off of an article found in a National Geographic magazine. The project scope involved interpreting the article into a manner that was both educational and immersive.
As a child, I was wildly interested in dinosaurs. I have chosen to depict an article that highlights the physical attributes of a Tyrannosaurus Rex.

To begin my process, I began by sketching out a rough layout of how my experience will function. It needed to be simple enough for children to learn from, but engaging enough to hold attention.
I made use of a 3D Tyrannosaurs Rex sourced from a 3D library and simulated a lighting environment that would look realistic. Since no one actually knows what the skin of a T-Rex looks like, I chose a glossier, snake-like replication of skin.
I wanted to play with the idea that Augmented Reality can be used as a marketing tool by National Geographic
